The Rev­erend Dyheim T Wat­son Sr., Senior Pastor of the First Nazarene Baptist Church of Camden, NJ, is a native of the City of Philadel­phia being the 3rd of four chil­dren born to Dea­con Vir­gil and Car­olyn Wat­son. The Lord spe­cially crafted this young man of God to be used in a mighty way.

Rev. Wat­son was edu­cated in the Philadel­phia School sys­tem upon grad­u­at­ing from High School he entered East­ern Col­lege and East­ern Bap­tist The­o­log­i­cal Sem­i­nary where he received his Bach­e­lors of Arts degree in Prac­ti­cal The­ol­ogy and Orga­ni­za­tional lead­er­ship. Wat­son also com­pleted his cer­ti­fi­ca­tion in Pas­toral stud­ies from the Faith Bible Sem­i­nary in St. Roberts, MO where he grad­u­ated with hon­ors.

Rev. Wat­son started his Chris­t­ian walk over and min­istry over 17 years ago at the Christ Com­mu­nity Bap­tist Church in Philadel­phia Pa under the Pas­torate of the Rev. Arthur R White, the Lord later led him to the First Nazarene Bap­tist Church in Cam­den NJ under the Pas­torate of the Rev. J A Jones. Upon receiving his call to ministry Watson has served in the following capacity Youth Pas­tor and Musi­cian to the Mt. Lebanon Bap­tist Church and the New Tem­ple Bap­tist Church, Philadel­phia Pa., Interim Pas­tor of the Greater Praise Bap­tist Church, Interim Chap­lin for the 427th Trans­porta­tion Bat­tal­ion of the US Armed Forces and Recently Spe­cial Chap­lain for the IRR recalled mis­sion for “Oper­a­tion Iraqi Free­dom” where he was deployed for 10 months.

In 2003 Rev. Wat­son accepted the Pas­torate of the Unity Bap­tist Church in Chester PA  mak­ing him one of the youngest pas­tors in the City of Chester.

Rev. Wat­son has a heart for com­mu­nity devel­op­ment and the cities in which he has served. He is the for­mer Exec­u­tive Direc­tor of Young Black Minds Inc., for­mer stu­dent orga­nizer of the Philadel­phia Stu­dent Union, for­mer elected Pres­i­dent of the Philadel­phia School Board City Wide Stu­dent Gov­ern­ment, and although it was an unsuc­cess­ful bid in 2010 Wat­son became the youngest can­di­date to run for State Rep­re­sen­ta­tive in the 186th leg­isla­tive Dis­trict where he is noted for being an activist on stu­dent and civil rights.

Wat­son is the CEO of Dyheim T Wat­son Sr. Min­istries and Life Cen­ter Com­mu­nity Devel­op­ment Inc. which for­merly pro­duced a weekly out­reach tele­vi­sion and radio min­istry that was viewed on Philadel­phia WWJT, Chan­nel 7 and heard on Chester’s Praise 1590 radio sta­tion for sev­eral years. He also over­sees a Cyber Char­ter School Partnership, Sum­mer Enrich­ment Pro­gram, After School Program and var­i­ous com­mu­nity out­reach programs.

In 2012 Rev. Wat­son accepted a Pas­toral posi­tion at the First Nazarene Bap­tist Church in Cam­den NJ. His home Church where he is hon­ored and priv­i­leged to assist his Pas­tor, Rev. JA Jones, and con­tinue the foun­da­tion and vision that he has laid.

Rev­erend Wat­son is mar­ried to Lady Mar­sha Yancy-Watson and is the proud father of three beau­ti­ful chil­dren Ash­ley Cheray, Dyheim Tyree Jr. and Amber Rose-Marie. Rev. Wat­son has trav­eled this coun­try as wells as to Kenya, Tan­za­nia, Uganda, Rwanda East Africa, Mazat­lan, Mex­ico, Ger­many, Lon­don, Scot­land, South Africa, Italy and Eng­land preach­ing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Philadel­phia Daily News in a 1999 inter­view described Wat­son as a “Young preacher with a zeal for people.”


Reverend John A. Jones, Emeritus Pastor of the Nazarene Baptist Church of Camden, NJ attended the Washington Bible College, Washington Baptist Seminar, Bowie State College, and the University of Richmond, in Richmond, Virginia. He began his early education in the Washington, DC public school system.

As a Pastor of two church from 1971-1976; Oxford and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Sparta, Virginia, Pastor Jones began to be recognized on a National and International level as the “Bible Preacher” and in 1976 God called him to pastor the First Nazarene Baptist Church of Camden, New Jersey.

Pastor Jones has been a keynote speaker on numerous occasions, both locally and internationally. His ministry to Foreign Mission has been extensive and has reach such places as San Andres, Columbia, Barbados, West Indies, and Haiti. He has also preached in the historic Providence Baptist Church, Liberia, West Africa.

Pastor Jones is a firm believer in the Community as a Village concept and has been very instrumental in establishing Village Outreach Services to include transportation for the elderly, food, and clothing storehouse for the needy and formerly the “Nazarene Hour”, a Sunday morning weekly radio ministry on WTMR Radio, 800 on the AM Dial broadcasting from Camden, NJ.

Pastor Jones has many affiliations which include Past Assistant Treasurer of the Foreign Missions Bureau of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, member of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee, Past Chairman of the Bethany Baptist Ministers’ Retreat, Honorary member of the Camden Police Department, Chaplain for the New Jersey State Troopers and a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Camden, NJ.

He has a special love for Missions and the prophetic scriptures. Pastor Jones is constantly in demand from all sectors of the community. Under his leadership, Pastor Jones and the Nazarene family moved into their new sanctuary in February, 2007. god continues to work through Pastor Jones to bless the community through his leadership and vision.

He is the father to one son, Phillip, one daughter, Tita;  daughter-in-law Daphne, two grandsons, Mr. & Mrs. Bryce Jones, Mr. & Mrs. Brandon Jones and a great grandson “Jackson Jones”.
